Meyer, who has served on the Winona planning commission, citizen’s environmental quality committee and county parks and environment committee, said she hopes to continue Pomeroy’s tradition of evidence-based decision making. Since retiring in 2013, Meyer has been a strong proponent of sustainable practices, an experience she plans to bring to the board. “Future generations should have the same quality of life that we have had,” she said.
